The game
Tap or click anywhere on the pond to drop a pellet, and the koi will swim over to investigate. Feed them enough and another koi joins the pond, gradually building the population up to the limit you choose.
But the koi aren't the only things living there.
Tadpoles stay near the shallow edges. Feed them and, eventually, they'll grow into frogs that make their homes on the lily pads. A rare golden koi appears from time to time—and when it does, you'll want to catch it before a turtle or the occasional alligator gets there first.
Or don't play at all.
Turn on Feed Itself and the pond takes care of itself. Pellets drop, koi gather, tadpoles grow, frogs appear, the golden koi comes and goes, and every so often an alligator wanders in and disrupts the peace.
Leave it running as a living screensaver, or tap the water and become part of the pond.
There isn't much more to it.
Sometimes that's the point.
