About this piece

Blue butterfly

Why

I joined a global community project in which each person painted a six-by-six-inch square for a larger digital mural.

How

I took inspiration from a butterfly on a poppy and made my own version with acrylic paint.

Process

I composed and painted the butterfly and flower on the small square for the shared mural.

About this piece

Portugal rooster

Why

During a group visit to a tile factory in Portugal in 2023, each of us was invited to paint whatever we wanted. I chose a rooster.

How

I painted the rooster in several colors on a tile to see how the finished piece would turn out.

Process

The painting was part of the hands-on tile-factory visit with our travel group.
